Is this company a lead customer? Estimating stages of B2B buying journey

چکیده

By advancement in digital marketing, business-to-business (B2B) buyers carry out over half of the buying process through touchpoints before they establish any significant contact with B2B seller. Knowing stage a potential buyer can bring substantial advantage to seller given complexity transaction and associated value. In this paper, authors propose machine learning approach infer stages journey by observing online browsing behavior companies. It is shown that buyer's effectively allows us estimate high accuracy utilizing hidden Markov models. Managers companies may use these techniques for adjusting their marketing efforts improve fit information demands prospects along journey, thus, hit rate sales activities.
